From : The VO family, Dr. Leonard's patients.

Dear Doctor,

On behalf of my parents, who have been under Dr. Leonard's care for 9 years, I write this letter to request you to reconsider Dr. Leonard's case by lifting the suspension of his license so that he can return to his practice as soon as possible.

Dr. Leonard was proven not guilty of unprofessional and dishonorable conduct, so there is no reason that his license is suspended for such a long time.

My parents, Minh Vo and Tuyet Tran, have been his patients  since 1995.Since then until now, they have regularly consulted Dr. Leonard every 2 months. They consider Dr. Leonard as a very caring, devoted and professional doctor. Psychologically, we do not feel comfortable when in a doctor's office but with Dr. Leonard  we  really do. He is very popular, sometimes he talked to us in French and Vietnamese because they do not speak English. Besides, he is a serious man. During our visits to his office  for many years, we have never heard any complaints about his conduct towards female patients.  We are completely satisfied with his accurate diagnosis and his appropriate behavior. He treated us with respect and dignity. He has a high humanitarian spirit, that is why my father used to say he is a great doctor and a good disciple of Hippocrates.

We are Medicaid patients and since he discontinued practicing , we do not know where to turn
to because most of neurologists in town do not accept the Medicaid as payment. We are  Vietnamese political refugees, we cannot afford the doctor's fee that is usually high if we need to see a specialist.

My mother is diagnosed with a cerebro-vascular accident and dementia, and my father with a depression and Alzheimer's. Before the treatment with Dr. Leonard, she was inactive but she is getting better and now she seems to be more alert. My father, who was a judge in Vietnam before 1975, is a very strict person  but with Dr. Leonard he is very content, he  respects Dr. Leonard personality. He wishes to see Dr. Leonard back to practice  so that he can go to have consultations because he trusts in Dr. Leonard 's competency.

In conclusion, we would like to beg you to reinstate Dr. Leonard's license so that he can return to his practice and help us and many other patients who are waiting impatiently for his good care.

Sincerely,

Minh Vo & Tuyet Tran and Dao Vo
