I have been a patient of Dr. Leonard for approximately 7 years, ever since he attended me in the hospital. I was in the hospital for five days with numerous doctors. It was Dr. Leonard who finally convinced the other doctors what my problem was, and the logical solution to it. That is not the only time he has been my doctor of last resort. His approach is very personal and holistic; and while he is a superb specialist in his field, he has a real knack at getting to the bottom of the problem. Part of this success is related to his willingness to devote enough time to discuss your problem. At 82 years of age, with a heart condition, I have seen a lot of doctors, and I consider Dr. Leonard as one of the very best, and I would consider it a great loss if he were no longer able to treat me. Admittedly, his personality is not run-of-the-mill, and he has an offbeat sense of humor which might turn some people off, but in my seven years of regular contact I have found him to be not only very smart but also wise. Being a professional man I was appalled at the treatment Dr. Leonard received at the hearings I attended. I frankly was appalled that the Austin medical community would put on a "mock trial " about such a serious matter. The unprofessionalism and downright bias shown by some of the members of the panel, made it obvious to anyone attending that Dr. Leonard would not get a fair hearing. It is a shame. I have the utmost confidence in Dr. Leonard as a doctor and a gentleman. John H Moragne |
